Attended a workshop recently and one of the stories was something about how we tend to focus and exaggerate the one negative quality instead of looking at the nine other positive qualities in us. Is this why there’re so much discords and unhappiness? Perhaps we should wear a couple of stars today to remind ourselves to look at the positive qualities in us and others. (^_^)
Most of the times, we tend to operate by auto mode, not knowing why we do something or say something. Doing things by habit. Perhaps, we need to learn to start looking at the things around us. Notice the change in the season. Feel the change in the air. Live the moment. Before the leaves are all gone.
Recently I have been neglecting my dear dollies…think they are beginning to get upset with me. But I have my reasons.
We started some exercise routine. Twice a week, brisk walking or slow jogging and rest of the week after dinner walk with our old dog.
Having been living a sedentary life for so long, getting the body to exercise is a challenge. But the aching pain in my back (old injury + long hours of sitting) and seeing my old dog struggling to stand up are enough to motivate me. Hopefully, this motivation will last.
